Space Saver Bags
Welcome to our space saver bags resource website. Here you will find a vast array of information about the space bag, also known as the space saver bag, as well as suppliers of the product. The space bag line of products are often promoted on television, as well as advertised on many sites across the internet. These reusable, vacuum-seal storage bags were originally introduced back in 1994. Today, the Space Bag product line has gone through many improvements, but is still based upon the original idea. They are currently available at 15,000 retailers, and in more than 60 countries. In the past 14 years, over 100 million Space Bag products have been distributed.
If you’re a little confused about the actual purpose of your space saver bag, don’t worry, because it’s really quite simple. How many times have you thought about how cluttered your hall or bedroom closet has become? I know ours was always a big mess. Well, not really a mess per se, but when you have as much clothes as we do, things tend to get a little unorganized. This is where space saver bags come in. The line of products was originally introduced to help increase your amount of storage.
The reusable vacuum-seal storage packs are filled with your clothes, bedding, or pillows – basically any item that you’d like to put into storage that can be compressed and protected. Once you seal the sure-zip sliding zipper, all you have to do is attach a vacuum hose to the outer valve, and suck the remaining air out of the bag. Any type of home vacuum fits snuggly, allowing a tight universal fit.
Just recently, the company behind the Space Bag line of products introduced a few new options, to help you out when trying to store different kinds of items. The Space-Saver Tote is great for storing clothes that are best suited to be hung at the same time. Items like suits, dresses and dress pants are a great fit. Another new addition, the hanging bag, is great for bulkier items that you’d still like to hang up. This is great for when you have a lot of hanging space. The latest addition to the Space Bag team is a new product called the vacuum seal cube, which is great for folded clothes, towels, washcloths and more.
To use one of the space saver storage bags, start out by finding exactly what you’d like to put into storage. For us, clothes were the first order of business to take care of, especially all of our winter wear. This is a very easy seasonal project to do, once it starts to warm back up, after the cold season. It’s also best to use clothes or items that are easily compressed. This allows you to utilize the effectiveness of the compressible design of the space saver bag.
Once you have all of the items into one of the bags, it’s now time to seal it up. Don’t worry about the excess air still inside, we’ll be sucking that out with the vacuum here in a moment. Simply fill up to the top, and use the sure-zip slider to zip it closed. An airtight seal is made by the patented closure system.
Finally, go find your house-hold vacuum. We keep ours in the closet, so that’s where we would head off to. From there, plug in the vacuum and remove the attachment. Place the attachment inside of the one-way, universal valve, and turn it on. As the air is sucked out, the clothes or items will become compressed. As you reach the desired level of compression, simply remove the hose and turn off the vacuum.
Go ahead and store the space bag in your drawer, stealthily under your bed, or in the garage. This is a great way to not have to rent a whole storage unit, and just invest in some inexpensive storage bags.
There is a lot of information out there about the space saver bags storage system. One of the more famous products, the Space Bag, is available online, and also from different retailers, such as Amazon, Walmart, Shopping.com. You can also find more information on eHow and Yahoo! Answers.
